(Malcolm K Allan)Previous | NextNumerically the last of LT's low floor cab Merlins, MB165 (SMM165F) - seen at Southall Works in early 1968 - had an out-of-sequence chassis number, 3P2R100, and had air suspension. Were standard leaf springs fitted before the bus entered service at Holloway (HT) towards the end of 1968 as VLW165G? This photo also shows why the original gold LT fleetnames applied to the early Merlins were replaced with red ones! (Chris Stanley)
