MBA166 (VLW166G) was the first Merlin with the high floor cab, and the first of the second batch of Red Arrows MBA166-193 that entered service from Walworth & Hackney garages on Reshaping Day in September 1968. Unusually the seats in these vehicles were covered in a pvc material instead of the traditional moquette. The pay-the-machine symbols date this photo to some time in 1969.
