MBS76 (VLW76G) was one of many redundant LT Merlins hired to London Country in 1974 to help alleviate the chronic shortage of serviceable buses. LCBS couldn't afford to be choosy, and drivers at Garston Garage (where MBS76 is seen) already had experience with the low floor cab MBs allocated there in 1969 for routes 318 & 335.
