Doncaster 135 (MDT220), 1953 AEC Regent III/Roe (chassis 9613A7745) seen c1972 at a rally in Sheffield. Last seen in Westerham, it was broken up in a Barnsley scrap yard in the early nineties. This AEC Regent III/Weymann found at La Motte du Caire in eastern France is believed to be OFC384 (chassis no 9612A4132) new in 1949 to City of Oxford. Acquired by Charlton-on-Otmoor Services, then to Nansen International Childrens Centre. Exported to France in November 1979. Used for several years as a mobile cafe with accommodation for its owners. Parked up since 2000 at least, it has a concrete floor, rebuilt rear platform & replacement windows. (Traveller Dave/Maurice Bateman)
